Attempted murder and manslaughter
Attempted murder and manslaughter
Attempted murder and attempted manslaughter are also punishable offenses. In order to speak of a criminal attempt, however, a beginning of execution is required. If there is only a vague plan to kill someone and no act has yet occurred, one cannot speak of an attempt.
Even if a person himself still decides at some point that he will not go through with the murder/death, he cannot be punished. However, this "stop" must be prompted by the perpetrator himself and may not depend on outside factors, such as when he is stopped by someone else (police or a third party).
